About Us

* Birmingham City Council worked with Witton Lodge Community Association to secure Big Lottery funding (through Natural World programme) for £387,672.


* The project aims to improve public open spaces (POS) in Perry Common and work with the local community to develop a greater environmental awareness.


* Chris Poole, Project Co-ordinator is working with partners to organise a range of environmental and healthy lifestyle events, plus numerous outdoor activities e.g. walking groups, to encourage the positive use of POS.


* Urban Devotion is engaging with NEET young people (not in education, employment or training), through diversionary activities and delivering self development courses.


* To increase employment opportunities Young people are being fed through to ENTA, who will deliver OCN accredited ‘entry into employment’ training conservation and horticulture training programme


* There are opportunities to work with families through the provision of Forest Schools. This will not only increase families understanding of the local environment but will aim to strengthen family units.
